We are delighted to announce the results of the 2024 TRUEDEM Blog Competition, which invited scholars at all career stages to explore political trust and its intersection with key socio-political developments. The competition attracted a strong response, with 12 insightful submissions covering a wide range of themes, including democratic innovations, political polarization, migration, and governance.
After a rigorous evaluation process, we are pleased to present the top three winning entries:
1st Place: Confronting Political Distrust Through Citizen Empowerment: A Citizen-Centered Approach to Democratic Innovations in the EU – by Alienor Ballange (Goethe University Frankfurt , Germany)
2nd Place: Executive Constraints and Political Trust – by Meral Ugur-Cinar (Bilkent University, Turkey) & Kursat Cinar (Middle East Technical University, Turkey)
3rd Place: The Voice of the Future: Adolescents and Their Trust in State Institutions – by Linde Stals (KU Leuven, Belgium)
