University of Ljubljana

TRUEDEM team in Slovenia is based at the University of Ljubljana and is led by Prof. Dr. Alenka Krasovec, Head of the Chair of Policy Analysis and Public Administration. The team brings in expertise on public policy analysis, evaluation of public policies, comparative interest group politics, decision-making in the EU, processes and actors in public policies. The team leads WP10 “Policy interventions for political trust-building”

Alenka Krašovec is professor of political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Her research interest include political institutions and actors (political parties, parliaments, governments, trade unions) as well as political processes (elections, democratisation, europeanisation, policy-making processes). Her journal publications (also with co-authors) have appeared in international journals (such as West European Politics, Problems of Post-Communism, East European Politics, the Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics, Communist and Post-Communist Studies, the Journal of Southern Europe and the Balkans, Politics in Central Europe) and journals published in Slovenia (Teorija in praksa, Družboslovne razprave). She has contributed (also with co-authors) many chapters in English language to edited books published by prominent publishing houses.

Damjan Lajh, PhD, is Professor of Policy Analysis at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, Jean Monnet Professor, and Head of the Centre for Political Science Research at the same Faculty. His research interests include public policies and policymaking processes in the national and EU context, new forms of governance, interest groups and lobbying, and democratic transition. His works have been, among others, published in scientific journals such as West European Politics, Politics and Governance, Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics, Journal of Southeast European & Black Sea Studies, Journal of Contemporary European Research and Czech Sociological Review, as well as in scientific monographs published by renowned publishers abroad such as Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan and Manchester University Press.

Meta Novak holds a PhD in sociology, is associate professor of Policy Analysis at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences and researcher as Political Science Research centre at the same faculty. She has participated in several international research projects including INTEREURO project and Comparative interest groups survey project. Her research interests include mainly interest groups, lobbying and civil society but also in active citizenship education. Currently she holds a Jean Monnet module on “Building stronger Europe through teaching and education”. She is member of steering committee of standing group on interest groups at ECPR.

Anja Kolak, MSc, is currently a PhD candidate and researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. She has published several research articles and has a vast experience in managing national and international research projects. She has also been involved as a researcher in numerous research projects (e.g., Radicalization towards violence: Key Concepts, Foreign Approaches, and the Case of Slovenia). She is an experienced interviewer who has also conducted several face-to-face interviews. Since 2015, she has also been involved in the research programme Social Sciences Methodology, Statistics and Informatics, which develops methods analysis network.
