Institute for Comparative Survey Research “Eurasia Barometer” (ICSR-EAB) is a non-profit non-governmental social sciences research organization headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Institute's main aim is to monitor political, economic, social and cultural transformations in cross-national and over time perspective in different parts of the world. The Institute specializes in political and sociological studies in the field of social and political transformations, regional developments, value change, international politics and migration. The Institute's team has done studies in the majority of EU member states, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, the Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) as well as Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan), Middle East and North Africa (Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, and Pakistan).The Institute has a network of associated researchers and partner research organizations operating in more than 70 countries.
TRUEDEM is coordinated by the Director of the Institute Prof. Dr. Christian W. Haerpfer (Project Director and Principal Investigator) jointly with Prof. Dr. Pippa Norris (co-Principal Investigator), who is Senior Research Fellow at the ICSR and Professor at Harvard University, USA. These scientific leaders are supported by a team that includes Dr Kseniya Kizilova, Project Manager and Senior Research Fellow with the background in Sociology and Political Science and extensive experience in empirical data collection, dissemination, and outreach activities; Dr Claudia Palt, Research and Administrative Assistant, with the background in Sociology and extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection; and Ing. Jaime Diez-Medrano who specializes in information technologies, web design, and management of electronic databases. The team leads WP7 “Information environment, media use and trust”, WP8 “Quantitative and qualitative data collection”, WP11 “Dissemination, Communication, Exploitation”, and WP12 “Project management”.
