We invite you to participate in the Trust in European Democracies survey. Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without consequences. We require your written consent to go ahead so please read the following carefully and sign the consent form if you agree to participate and you are aware of your rights.
Study Purpose: TRUEDEM is a multinational European research project investigating public trust. We are particularly interested to learn your views about politics and the news media.
Who is Conducting the Study: Funded by Horizon Europe, TRUEDEM project is coordinated by the Institute for Comparative Survey Research (Austria) and is conducted by 12 academic research teams. More details are at www.truedem.eu.
Study Procedure: We invite you to complete an online survey that will take about 30 minutes. You have been selected at random to be part of a sample of around 1500 citizens in each country. The survey will be conducted in several European member states.
Data Handling: Your responses will be anonymized and securely stored by Demoscopy data collection agency. Data will be shared with the TRUEDEM project team for research and analysis. It will be used exclusively for research purposes and not be used for the media, commercial purposes, or political campaigns. Benefits of Participation: By participating, you contribute to a broader understanding of public opinion to inform and improve governance. This provides an important opportunity for you to voice your opinions.
Access to Results: The findings will be published by December 2025 on the TRUEDEM project’s website (www.truedem.eu) in English and in your native language.
